Your IDEA:
Technology and online dating. In this research project I am trying to she the relationship between, our increasing amounts of technology and the use of online dating sites and the relationship of perceptions of selfs by using profiles to attract a partner.

This article researches the ways different people are using online dating, and how they develop relationships and finding information, as to disproof or proof different reasons for the reasons of the use these websites.

This article researchers are looking into how truthful people are in their profiles if they vamp their actual personality to attract a better partner, or to create an illusion.

This journal shows how we can compare how people market themselves to achieve their wanted relationships. It also talks about reasons for people opting to this form of creating new relationships.

Research Methods:
What research method(s) will you use to collect your qualitative data? Interviews, Focus Group, Participant Observations. Why have you chosen these methods? I have chosen these methods because I believe I will get the most information in the personal level by having interviews face to face and being able to grasp the facial expressions by having participant observations. The focus group method might be something Im not sure if I will implement, I find the idea of multiple people’s conversation about the thoughts and reason for use stimulating, but not definite if will use this method.
Research Design:
Informed consent from participants (see consent form template). Who are your ten participants? I will be using my close friends and family who have used online dating sites or technology to find a suitable partner. Using your chosen research method, what questions will you ask participants to get the information you are looking for (Write up your interview guide based on the information you gathered from your scholarly articles)? Where will you observe them to write up observational field notes? I will probably do the interviews in their homes and or a local location such as a coffee place where we can chat and drink coffee o keep my subject in comfort. I will be seeing their movements and or face reactions to obtain what they feel about the subject. What sorts of visual data will support your research?
